Damp
Damp is a term which means slightly wet and moisture. Usually this term is used for the wetness in other substances such as in pipes, walls, cupboards etc. Moisture is available everywhere it is abundant in air but for this moisture the term damp is not used. Some times the term damp is also used to decrease the amplitude of any thing. It is used in the damp proofing. The damp proofing is a process where the wall keeps on damaging the paint and the building as well. This happens because of the dampness in the wall which is moisture and wetness in the wall. This can happened due to many reasons among which the most common reason is that the walls take some water from the land and absorbs it and then this process keeps on going and make the wall un-protective and weak. This is due to the dampness in the wall and to restore the sturdiness of the wall you have to prevent the wall form absorbing water and the process is known as damp proofing.
In this way one can easily understand the meaning of the term damp. The term damp is said to be derived from German which meant vapors or fog. There are many types of damp which are characterized under a term damp. Few common types are as follows. One is the firedamp. It is a flammable gas which is usually methane. It is created by the decomposition of the coal and it is often mixed with air.
Another type is chokedamp. It is the mixture of mine gases which possess deficiency in oxygen gas. In some places such as in England carbon dioxide is known as chokedamp. Another type is the firedamp which is another type of gas. Usually the term damp is used as moisture and for the construction and prevention procedures in the buildings.

All varieties of door knobs are available
There are so many types of door knobs available, that it is difficult to know which one to choose.
When decorating it is important to ensure that the door knobs match in a room, so they do not all have to be the same shape, but it can look better if they are all the same colour.
There is also the need to ensure you choose the right colour to go with the rest of the colour scheme in the room you are working with – so for example silver or metal handles can go well if you are having wooden furniture in the room.
